The S3 Biology course covers outcomes at level 4 and 5 and helps prepare young people to achieve at National 4 or 5 the following year.  Practical skills are also developed along with a deepening of subject knowledge gained from S1 and 2. The course is divided into 3 units; Cell Biology, Multicellular Organisms and Life on Earth.  These mirror the units in the National 4 and 5 courses and offer continuity between the BGE and SP.  Learning is a mixture of teacher led lessons, practical work, research tasks and active learning.
